it’s been days now and you change your mind again, it feels like years and I can tell how time can bend your ideas…

The beauty of a song is understood in the feelings experienced by the listener. Tonight, as the rain falls heavy on the roof of my apartment, I’m feeling a little melancholy, as my writing finds itself replaced by the fanatical posting of almost random blogs in an effort to seduce followers from all corners of the World Wide Web. After cracking open the door into a world in which I contribute heavily to the vast compendium of random that exists on the internet, I’ve found the perfect song to make me stop, take a step back, and take a good long look through the peephole before opening the door and taking a step over the threshold.

And The Boys by Angus and Julia Stone is the first new song on their MySpace page since the release of their last album, A Book Like This. Its melodies are captivating, its rhythms are inspiring, and the voice of Julia Stone is, as usual, unique and alluring.
And The Boys is my favourite new song (today), and I am listening to it on repeat. And I’m telling you this because I think you should too.
